SYNOPSIS
Late at night, Allie receives a visitation from her deceased best friend, Karen.
MUSIC DESCRIPTION
Sparse, widely-space chords in the piano open this scene, as Allie and the ghost of her late friend sing to one another, their phrasing almost speech-like. Later in the scene we hear upwards flourishes and a gentle eighth-note pulse in the piano the two sing lyrically of images from the afterlife.
