QUOTATIONS FROM CREATIVE TEAM
Norman Yeung and I both wanted to write a piece based in our West Coast experiences: his growing-up years in British Columbia, and mine in Oregon. As we both have moved and traveled so much, wandering far from our Pacific roots, we were also intrigued by the concept of mobility. Geographic kinetic energy inspired us, especially uprooting one’s life to go start fresh somewhere new. The initial idea of this scene — an artist moving east — propelled us to writing an anthology set of further vignettes following the mobile interconnected lives of Josie, Del, and friends, set in various North American cities, titled Where Are We Going?, excerpts performed in Washington DC.
