André Alexis

Bio

André Alexis is a fiction author who grew up in Ottawa. His novels Fifteen Dogs and Days by Moonlight won the Rogers Writers’ Trust Fiction Prize in 2015 and 2019. He has also won the Scotiabank Giller Prize, CBC’s Canada Reads, and the Windham-Campbell Literature Prize. His eighth novel, The Ring, is the fifth book published in his “quincunx” examining philosophical themes. Born in Trinidad, Alexis lives in Toronto.
