Bio

Recent completed works are Learning to be a Man and A Pain in the Arts. Michael's love of music and writing came together when he completed the Tapestry Opera LIBLAB where he wrote the librettos for four five-minute operas: Passion Fruit, Restoration, Connections, and Where You Live, the latter three where produced for Opera Briefs in Sept 2010. Restoration has been translated into German, performed in Europe, and has been published in Tapestry Opera's very first book of songs. Michael always had an interest in writing for music, and produced and wrote a musical for the 2008 Toronto Fringe called The King The Musical. In the early turn of the century Michael partnered in a children's theatre company and wrote Harriet Tubman, as well as directed and acted in many of the companies productions. Works that are presently being developed: a play based on the Mayan prediction called Never Hope For Too Much Meaning and a play about tradition called Pop up Baba.
