SYNOPSIS
An entire relationship in microcosm, from first meeting to last sunset together. This piece uses a couple’s dancing together as a metaphor for their time passing.
MUSIC DESCRIPTION
Piano music underscores the emotional arc of this duet. An animated, conversational opening leads into a cheerful, lilting dance rhythm, overtop of which both voices sing together in harmony. As the relationship between the two characters reaches its end, long held chords in the piano lead the scene to a soft conclusion.
